Duke Energy International Brazil received several workplace awards in 2010.

• The Great Place to Work Institute selected the company as the 16th Best Place to Work in Brazil. Companies were judged on employee quality of life, competitive salaries, benefits and opportunities for professional development. Duke Energy was the top energy company in the rankings.
• Management and HR magazine named Duke Energy Brazil a top-50 company in the Quality of Life category in its 2010 100 Best Corporate Citizenship survey.
• The Brazilian Association of Power Utilities presented Duke Energy with the Gold Eloy Chaves Medal — the organization’s top health and safety award for electricity producers and transmitters. The company was honored for its efforts to promote safety and security among employees and contractors.
