Customer Satisfaction Survey Results

Business: Duke Energy ranked in the top quartile, finishing fourth in the nation – for the second consecutive year – in the 2009 Key Accounts National Benchmark (KANB) study. The KANB study, conducted by TQS Research Inc., is an independent evaluation based on interviews with major manufacturing facilities, large hospitals and universities.

Among business customers that spend between $500 and $50,000 monthly on electricity, Duke Energy ranked in the top quartile in the South and the second quartile in the Midwest, according to the February 2009 J.D. Power and Associates Electric Utility Business Customer Satisfaction StudySM. The South ranking is up from the second quartile and the Midwest ranking is up from the third-quartile in the 2008 study.
